Our way to sustainability

The best for people, but never at the expense of nature! At SAFEAS, we pursue a holistic sustainability approach from the product idea to the daily beauty routine.

The production of natural cosmetics means responsibility, which we are happy to take on. Our goal is to promote sustainability along the entire value chain and to commit ourselves to people and nature. We refrain from using synthetic and potentially harmful ingredients and only use high-quality 100% natural raw materials, predominantly in organic quality. We source fairly traded raw materials from organic cultivation projects around the world, thus enabling people in structurally poor countries to have a self-determined future. From organic cultivation to natural extraction processes and gentle production to distribution: At every stage, SAFEAS' highest priority is ecological sustainability.

Sustainable company

Sustainability is an indispensable part of our corporate philosophy and thus a fundamental aspect of our daily actions. We are committed to sustainable action on an ecological, social and ethical level. We are aware that each of our products has an impact on our climate and the environment through its development, production, use and disposal. Therefore, it is our goal to look for and use environmentally friendly optimisation options at every stage of the product life cycle, starting from raw material extraction and material and product manufacturing to transport and disposal.

Environmentally friendly natural electricity

Our electricity comes straight from the socket, but we get it from environmentally friendly power plants that use 100% renewable energy, such as hydro and wind power plants. The sustainable production of electricity with renewable resources conserves fossil fuels because they do not have to be used. Moreover, renewable energy sources are inexhaustible, unlike limited fossil fuels such as natural gas and oil. The production of electricity and heat from renewable energy sources also leads to fewer climate-damaging CO2 emissions that pollute the earth's atmosphere. In this way, we help to protect the environment and the climate.

Climate neutral shipping

Our products are manufactured at our own company headquarters in Munich and shipped from there to all parts of the world. We attach great importance to ensuring that our shipments are transported in a CO2-neutral manner in order to make a sustainable contribution to climate protection. Climate-neutral shipping means that the amount of greenhouse gas emissions generated during transport is offset. As a member of the GoGreen initiative of our logistics service provider DHL, we offset the CO2 emissions caused by investing in climate protection projects. In this way, we can ensure that our deliveries are environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Green-IT equipment and use of recycled paper

SAFEAS is committed to protecting the environment and preserving forests by using FSC-certified paper for our outer packaging and promotional materials. Forests must be managed responsibly to protect the environment and the climate and to ensure a sufficient supply of wood for the future. For this reason, the independent and non-profit organisation FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is committed to responsible forest management worldwide.

Consistent environmental management system

We are committed to preserving and protecting our environment out of conviction. In doing so, we make sure that people, nature and the economy are brought into harmony. We integrate this concern directly into our value chain - from the cultivation of raw materials to the manufacture of products and social structures.

Respect for ethical capital flows

We make our investments according to ecological, social and ethical aspects. We pay attention to the conservation of natural resources and the limitation of climate change. But also social aspects such as human capital, society, sustainable products and human rights. In addition, there are business ethics, i.e. corporate governance, transparency, remuneration rules.
